Companion Scenario: Spontaneous Generation

Giving credit where credit is due

Your lab text, Investigating Biology, does an excellent job in demonstrating citations on page G41; however, why is citing so important? Well, as I said, your book,  says it all, “ When the information in your paper is not a direct observation by you, you should tell the reader where it came from.” ( French, 2007)

Plagiarism is a very serious act, criminal in fact. So serious is the act of cheating that the University has implemented a serious set of infractions that will result directly from these types of stealing activities. Under the Further Reading, we have placed a link to the Academic Integrity video produced by OSU’s Division of Academic Affairs. It is strongly advised that you view the material presented in the further reading section.
