Disabling protected mode only takes a few steps and as long as you do it correctly you will still remain safe online.

1.First, if you haven't been seeing the security window below popup you do not need to disable protected mode. However, if for what ever reason the prelabs do not work it is a good thing to try.

2. Also, if you haven't added the trusted sites listed on the help page please do so now.

3.To disable protected mode first click on the gear in the top right of Internet Explorer. Then navigate to security and select trusted sites.

4.Before you uncheck Enable Protected Mode make sure that you have Trusted sites selected and not Internet. Once you have uncheck Protected Mode close all Internet Explorer windows and try running the scenarios again.
