Document Title: When I try to view the Interactive Exams, none of the exam questions show
It appears that either:
  • You do not have the Authorware Web Player installed on your computer, or
  • You do not have the correct version of the Web Player
Information about the different versions of the Authorware Web Player can be found here.


To install the Authorware Web Player, follow this link to install from the Macromedia Downloads center.

Verify that you have the correct version of the Web Player by following this link

If you do not have the correct version of the Web Player, we suggest that you uninstall the older version and install the Full version.
Instructions on how to do this are outlined below:

Uninstall Instructions:
Uninstalling for Internet Explorer
  • Remove ActiveX control.
    1. Launch Internet Explorer.
    2. Within a browser window, choose Tools > Internet Options to open the Internet Options dialog box.
    3. Click the Settings button in the General tab.
    4. Click the View Objects button.
    5. Within the Downloaded Program Files window, locate and right-click Macromedia Authorware Web player Control.
    6. Choose Remove from the contextual menu.
  • Remove Authorware Web player files.
    1. Using Windows Explorer or My Computer, navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\ .
    2. Delete the folder Authorware Web Player.

Uninstalling for Netscape:
  1. Using Windows Explorer or My Computer, navigate to C:\Program Files\Netscape\Netscape\plugins.
  2. Delete the file np32dsw.dll.
  3. Using Windows Explorer or My Computer, navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\.
  4. Delete the folder Authorware Web Player.

Having successfully completed that part:

INSTALL Instructions:
  1. Navigate to the Macromedia website, the section about the Authorware player.
  2. Select the appropriate installer i.e. Internet Explorer or Netscape, Windows or Mac

The rest completes automatically and it will notify you of a successful installation, if that be the case.

Finally, relaunch the prelabs from the 1114 website and see whether you can access all content from your computer.
